Message for the Week : End to Pain and Sufferings

Ordinary pain, whether physical, or emotional, is a natural consequence of being embodied. Only spiritual pain can be ended. Spiritual pain is the state of being separated from the blissful nature of our higher self (soul). The important thing is: when spiritual success ends spiritual pain, so end all cares for any other pain.

The interesting thing is that spiritual suffering is usually experienced unconsciously or indirectly. In mild cases, it manifests itself as existential concerns: worrying about the future, feeling lost in the world, or not knowing what to do with oneself or one's life. If one is fortunate, spiritual pain will manifest itself as melancholy, which is a louder message in the language of the soul.

As quoted in Chapter 50 of Shri Sai Satcharitra : When Mr. Nanasaheb Chandorkar told Kakasaheb that if he wished to get rid of the pain and lameness of his leg, he should go to his Sadguru Sai Baba. He also gave him all the particulars of Sai Baba and mentioned to him Sai Baba's dictum, I draw to Me My man from far off or even across the seven seas, like a sparrow with a string fastened to its feet. He also made it clear to him that, if he was not Baba's man, he would not be attracted to Him and given darshan. Kakasaheb was pleased to hear all this and said to Nanasaheb that he would go to Baba, see Him and pray to Him to cure not so much his lame leg, but bring round his lame, fickle mind and give him eternal Bliss.

Suffering, as distinguished from ordinary pain, stems from spiritual ignorance, which is the condition born of faulty perception. The only remedy for this affliction is the removal of the faulty perception by following a genuine spiritual path, which can be defined as acquisition of spiritual knowledge through an authentic spiritual practice. When we are connected to the bliss of our innermost being, that Divine Bliss is so overwhelming that all our cares are nothing in comparison and disappear in the splendor of the Light.

Spiritual pain is removed by action -- a particular kind of action. All living spiritual traditions teach the same thing: observe our spiritual sleep and wake up, notice how we go to sleep again and again, and practice the awakened state until we no longer go to sleep.

Sensations of pain do not end even when spiritual liberation is attained and sadhaka becomes free from the suffering inherent in ego-centered living. It is only the concern for them that ends. Hence, a wise person focuses solely on removing the spiritual suffering.

Baba Said....

"The Sadguru looks to the intense feeling and devotion of His devotees, endows them with knowledge and eternal bliss".

Question of the Week...Devotees Asked...Guruji Answered
Question :  Will I see some miracles of Baba if I ask Him with devotion?

Answer :

Miracles are the ways of Sadgurus. They are laws of nature, which human beings have not understood as yet. Material miracles are of an inferior variety. Unfortunately, human beings are more interested in these due to their limited perception. The real miracle is the change of hearts of human beings towards universality and their qualitative evolution towards divinity which is the very purpose of birth.

Devotee's Experience : Experienced Darshan / Omnipresence

Contributed by Krishnan.T

Pranams!

I am a devotee of Baba. I had this experience very recently. I belong to an average family (financially) and have a daughter who is 5 years old. I was thinking about her admission to a school. Since my financial position does not allow me to join her in convent or high class school I thought of getting her an admission to a government school near to my house.

One day while I was working on computer, I came across a picture of Babaji, I thought about putting a frame to His picture and keep Him on the desktop. I saw Him blessing me with smile and peace. I just closed my and still I saw a hologram of Babaji blessing me. The next day unexpectedly we had to visit Arya Central School and seeking Admission since my wife is very adamant that our daughter should be taught in good school. I am not interested in joining her in that school since, the school is far away from my home and our daughter is having health problems. With a worried mind I entered the Principal's room for the admission formalities. On entering, I found a soothing peace entering me and the Principal was very much courteous to us and she agreed to give an admission to my daughter in her school. Suddenly, I stared up to say my thanks to God. Then I noticed a full wall mounted picture of "Babaji" on the back wall where the Principal sits. He was smiling and blessing and He looked the same way I saw Him on the computer. I heard Him say within me "I am here to take care! Why should you worry about her?". I left everything on Him and came out with peace and happiness.

He will take care of my daughter. He will arrange everything. He will teach her the knowledge, good habits and impart her the power of God.

I personally thank you for giving me a chance to express my experience of 'Babaji".
