Message for the Week : Guruji's Message on the occasion of New Year

Devotees speak volumes about their Masters. They speak on the Master's glory, personality, activities, miracles, their personal experiences, and on other devotees and group activities etc. Particularly, when it comes to Shri Sainath Maharaj, devotees speak more about dreams with relation to him, their own experience which they call miracles and on their emotive inter-action with Baba. In short, they experience Him as a Personal God, who can be a Sadguru or a deity. Some of them worship a number of Personal Gods at the same time and therefore, find it difficult to focus on one. In any case the One Ultimate has to be beyond all the Personal Gods. A Personal God, by whatever name, is called Saguna (with certain qualities and powers) Sakara (a form which a human mind can ordinarily comprehend). A finer understanding of God is Nirguna (beyond such limited qualities and powers), Nirakara (beyond specific forms). Nirguna Nirakara - this means seeing or experiencing the essence of God or that Ultimate reality or Brahma in all its creations - i.e. in the devotee himself and in the entire manifested and non-fested creation around him.

By this logic all statues or paintings, structures (like Samadhis), names, Aartis, Mantras, Charan Padukas, etc. are symbols of God and certainly not God, the Ultimate. Such symbols are generally worshipped and contemplated on as it is easy for the limited human mind to comprehend them. The question is whether the human mind should necessarily be limited, or a path should be chosen to keep it limited. If any path or any religion prescribes for such an approach, it itself is limited. Hinduism prescribes certain methods by which a devotee can graduate from a Sakara (limited form) of worship to a Nirakara (form-less) worship. Religion means both ritualism and spiritualism. Unless one transcends ritualism, it is difficult to enter into the arena of spiritualism in the true sense of the term...click here to read more

Baba Said....

"It is on account of Rinanubandh (former relationship) that we have come together, let us love and serve each other and be happy".

Let us know Baba

Answer to last week Question

What does Baba meant, when addressed someone as a sparrow?

Sai Baba often said that-let His man (Devotee) be at any distance, a thousand koss away from Him, he will be drawn to Shirdi like a sparrow, with a thread tied to its feet.

Question of the Week:

"I require no door to enter. I have no form nor any extension; I always live everywhere. I carry on, as a wire puller, all the actions of the man who trusts Me and merges in Me." What was the incident and to whom did Baba addressed?

May I Answer? Devotees Asked...Guruji Answered

Question : When man knows that he is fallen, and therefore not qualified to tread the spiritual path then what should he do?

Answer :

To this day there has not been any human being who has fallen so low that he is out of the grace of God. Balmikii, who wrote Ramayan was a criminal in his earlier part of life. Many dacoits and wicked men have been totally transformed with the grace of Guru in the past. It means that however fallen one is, even if to the extent of an ocean, it cannot be greater than the sky of the grace of God. One who is falling low, the soul within him will be in greater pain and God will be more concerned about him. Just like a mother, if she has three-four children she will be more worried about the particular child who is either more unhappy or is sick. Anybody under the stars can follow any religion suitable to him and gradually, move towards God. Eventually, God will help him in the form of a Sadguru or Master.

I always believed in God, but ever since I started believing in Sai Baba, I feel I have become a much better person. It was 10th September 97, and my father had a massive heart attack. It shook up the entire family. It was Wednesday morning. The very next day, I went to Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Chhatarpur, and went and prayed for my fathers good health. My mother joined me at the temple and both of us prayed to Baba for his good health. After visiting the temple my mother and me went back to the hospital to meet my father and we put the Vibhuti which we got from the temple on my fathers chest, and again prayed to Baba to take care of him. Since that day, my father has been doing well in health and I started going to the sai Baba temple frequently. Infact I even believe that I have had Baba's Darshan. In October 99, I was going to the Sai Baba temple in chatterpur and just as I had washed my hands to go inside the temple , I saw a thin man just dressed like Baba in a dhoti staring at me, with that same calm look on his face and a little smile. For a second I could not take my mind off him and kept looking back. As I went inside the temple I just could not concentrate, since I could not believe what I had seen outside, and quickly came outside the temple after doing my prayers inside. I went out and looked at the same place where I had seen that man a few minutes ago but there was nobody there. I asked a few people around if they had seen anybody dressed like that with that appearance sometime back and they all said no.I told this incident to a lot of my friends and they all do not believe that it was Baba, but till date I have a firm belief that I saw Baba that day and on that account consider myself lucky.

I have never been to Shirdi but I would really like to go there and meet Baba. I have a firm faith in Baba and believe that he is watching me all the time in all I do and he has always been with me whenever I needed him.

I used to love going to the Sai Baba temple at Chatterpur in Delhi but I just moved to Washington in march this year and miss going there. Most of the temples in this area do not have Baba's Murti. I really wish that i can see Baba again very soon.

Have faith in him , and he will lead you through.

Jai Sai ram.
