Message
for the Week : True
Service
|
True service takes place only when the ego is placed aside. How easy it is to say that, but how difficult it is to do in practice, for we are all trained to identify with the ego-self from the moment of birth until the moment of death. That is why so few of us ever experience true joy. It is only on very rare occasions that we have an insight as to what the reality of life should be, a state of joyfulness.
Nevertheless, once we have recognized the reality of God's love, once we have experienced that moment of cosmic consciousness, then pleasure becomes a poor substitute. Once we have experienced the presence of a being who lives in a state of joy, a true Master, then we realize just how barren is a life devoted to the pursuit of pleasure
Service is the inherent nature of our being. We were born to serve and for those who resist that planetary lesson, this Earth becomes a place of pain and suffering. Until we learn to release the ego and freely serve, even the least aspect of Humanity, which stands before us, our life will be joyless. Let us see each day as a Baba’s-given opportunity for service. Recognize that we are not really serving any one individual but the manifestation of Baba in them. We may not feel very comfortable with their personality. We may not like the physical role they are playing. Be aware that we aren't serving them but the Baba in them. Recognize that a joyful person is a servant of the Lord. They touch every thing and every person they meet and uplift all those who come into their presence. A joyful person transmutes negative energies and is a living demonstration of true union with the Source of All Life. We are simply one aspect of Spirit serving another aspect of Spirit. We are all part of the same Body of Spirit and so we are serving ourselves. Recognize that when we serve another, we uplift not just ourselves and the person being served, but the whole Human Race, the whole planet.

Answer
to last week Question
What was that incident, where Baba saved a life of a devotee's child?
Baba by virtue of limitless powers had complete knowledge of events and occurrences anywhere in the universe. A devotee’s call for help, no matter how far away from Shirdi never went unanswered.
In the year 1910 AD, Baba was sitting near the Dhuni (sacred fire) on the day of Diwali, ( the festival of lights in India) and warming Himself. He was pushing firewood into the Dhuni, which was brightly burning. A little later, instead of pushing logs of woods, Baba pushed His arm into the Dhuni; the arm was scorched and burnt immediately. The couple of devotees near Him noticed this. They at once ran to Baba and clasped Baba by His waist from behind and dragged Him forcibly backward and asked, "God, what have You done this?" Then Baba came to His senses and replied, "The wife of a blacksmith at some distant place, was working the bellows of a furnace when her husband called her. Forgetting that her child was on her waist, she ran hastily and the child slipped into the furnace. I immediately thrust my hand into the furnace and saved the child. I do not mind my arm being burnt, but I am glad that the life of the child is saved."

Experienced
: Prayed Baba in Desperate Times |

Jai Shree
Sairam,
I am from Goa and I am
Sai Bhakt from my childhood my family use to attend prayers at Saibaba Temple in Goa. In the year 1998 I was met with accident and also in same time I lost my job and I was Jobless. After 6 months I was told by my Ex-Boss to visit Saibaba Temple at Dodamarg-Kasai, where our DADA who had built up Sai Temple (MATH) also gives advises & solves problems of
Sai bhaktas. One day I visited this temple and expressed my problem that I am jobless, He then advised me to take Pradakshina around for 11 times for a 11 day, then you will
definitely get the job, keeping hope I started my pradakshina and
miracle is on 8th time I got a call from the Company for Interview in which I was interested in, I attended Interview and after completing 10th pradakshina I got a call from same company to join
immediately.
This is my experience that before attending this Temple I had given a interview with same company and that time my application was rejected, but after completing my 10th Pradakshina to BABA I was selected in same company at a better Post which was
miracle.
Jai Sai Ram
