Message
for the Week : Why Fear? Is Baba not near?
|
We should not worry. We should have implicit faith in Baba, in our Inner Pilot and our spiritual Master. We have to feel that not only does Baba know what is best for us, but He will do what is best for us. We worry because we do not know what is going to happen to us tomorrow, or even the next minute. We feel that if we do not do something for ourselves, then who is going to do it? But if we can feel that there is someone who thinks of us infinitely more than we think of ourselves, and if we can consciously offer our responsibility to Him, saying, "You be responsible. Eternal Father, Eternal Mother, You be responsible for what I do and say and grow into," then our past, our present and our future become His problem. As long as we try to be responsible for our own life, we will be miserable. We will not be able to properly utilize even two minutes out of every twenty-four hours we have. When we can feel that we are Baba's conscious instruments and He is the Doer, then we will not worry about our destiny; we will not be afraid of our destiny, for we will know and feel that it is in the all-loving Hands of Baba, who will do everything in us, through us and for us.
Let us consciously offer our very existence - what we have and what we are - to Baba. What we have is aspiration to grow into the very image of Baba, into infinite peace, Light and bliss. And what we are right now is just ignorance, the ignorance-sea. If we can offer our aspiration-cry and our ignorance-sea to Baba, then our problem is solved. We should not and we need not ever worry about destiny. On the strength of our surrender, we become inseparably one with Sai's cosmic Will.

Answer
to last week Question
How has Baba taught us to serve the Master?
Sai Baba made the 'Guru' (the Master), a profound base of the path of devotion. The spiritual impulse is certainly latent in every individual heart, but it needs great inspiration and compulsion to bring it to the surface.
Baba offered that inspiration through his own account brimming with love for his Master. He said, "How can I describe his (Guru's) love for me? When he was in spiritual trance, I sat and gazed at him. We were both filled with bliss. I cared not to turn my eyes upon anything else. Night and day I pored upon his face with an ardor of love that banished hunger and thirst. The Guru's absence even for a second made me restless. I meditated on nothing but the 'Guru' and had no goal or object other than the 'Guru'. Wonderful indeed the art of my 'Guru'. I wanted nothing but the Guru and he wanted nothing but this intense love from me." The significant feature stressed by Sai Baba in his own example and words is the great importance of developing this devotion to one's Guru. It is seeing God in the Guru. This was a self-projected ideal of a ‘Guru’ that motivated innumerable seekers who came in contact with Sai Baba.

I Answer? Devotees Asked...Guruji Answered
|
Question
: Does Baba think it is right to silently bear the injustice and let the people do what they want to do to you or does He think it is right to leave such a situation and look for peace, so one can think about Him and become what He wants you to be?
Answer
:
Baba always said people who tolerate, I am with them. But avoid the negative situations as far as you can. Pray to Him and internally He will lead you in the right path. Save your valuable time out of useless arguments and fights in order to serve Him.

Those 20 Minutes :
With Baba in our lives, there is no dearth of experiences. Every moment of our lives is full of experiences which Baba use to educate us. I would like to share one particular incident that happened not so long ago.
My husband and our daughter where watching a movie on Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi and I was in the kitchen preparing dinner for some guests who were coming over that evening. Our son was in his room playing.
Our daughter was not too well since morning that day. She was running some slight fever. While sitting in papa's lap she was saying "Sai Baba Bolo...Sai Baba Bolo" and all of a sudden she had a stroke of Seizure and fell unconscious.
My husband who was totally perplexed of what had happened called her name and started slapping her to bring her in consciousness. I heard my husband shouting and calling her name. I rushed to the living room and immediately picked her up and took her to the bathroom to splash some water on her.
She did not respond at all during this time and her eyes where rolling back. Meanwhile my husband called 911 for emergency. No body picked up and we rushed out locking as it is. Our friends who stay near by also were called and we left in our car.
While we had not been far off we received a call on our mobile from our friend that we need to be back home as the police and Para-medics have reached our place (they had traced our address from our number).
Para Medics gave some immediate shots and spent considerable time reviving her back to consciousness. This whole process took some 20 minutes. She started responding and was rushed to emergency where rest of the tests were performed. Nothing was diagnosed and was discharged the same night.
She was fine next morning with no traces of ever gone away from us for "those 20 min". Those 20 minutes taught us one thing that there is nothing more precious in life than our loved ones. All laurels, money and other things have no bearing in life, there is only one savior that is "His Name".
Had she been sleeping alone in the room...we would not have even come to know and can't imagine what could have happened. But Baba is always protecting His children all the time.
Why fear...when He is near.
