"Hearing the stories of the Saint is in a way, keeping their company. The importance of the company of the Saints is very great. It removes our body consciousness and egoism, destroys completely the chain of our birth and death, cuts asunder all the knots of the hearts and takes us to God, who is pure consciousness".

Answer :

It was not possible to extinguish anger even for a sage like Durvasa so easily. Many wise men and saints have also fallen prey to this. Anger comes from ego. If even a trace of pride is left in anybody anger may erupt whenever the pride is hurt. If one sincerely wants to get rid of anger he should think of Baba at the very first moment of anger and pray, “O Baba put off my anger”. At that moment if the person who is causing anger is around then one should just walk out of that place and do not indulge in arguments. Baba had said, “When two people fight with each other, I hold him dearer who is more enduring”. This should be remembered consciously that, “Baba has said so, therefore, I will endure this anger”. One should always nourish this thought. By doing this one can gradually find control over anger. It will take time to master such a feeling.

Dear devotee friends,

I have always had faith in Baba as one of my aunts is a staunch devotee of Baba but this faith was never as strong as it has been since last June when my family life was really in trouble and Baba, in a way, himself called us to Shirdi and solved our problems. Baba has been really, really kind to me. 

Till last year there was too much tension in my house between my husband & myself and inspite of my family helping us at every step this was going from bad to worse. I have two little girls and all this was having a terrible effect on them. All this had a lot to do with my husband being unstable financially while, by the grace of God, I'd a steady job. The situation was almost reaching a stage of divorce. Even now when I think of those days I shudder. It was not that that my husband didn't love his family. He used to adore us but his temperament was in extremes. He used to get terrible bouts of anger and during last 2-3 fights he had also become violent. I kept praying day and night for Baba to either end this relationship or give my husband some sense. I told Baba that we're trying to come to Shirdi and he should take away all the 5 sins described in Satcharita from him and help us. 

While in Shirdi we were just sitting and praying from the far end of the hall. There were not many people around but a person with an overgrown beard and wearing orangish clothes was sitting and reading a thick book loudly, most probably Sai Satcharitra only. After sitting for a while when we were walking away he kept on looking at us and kept on smiling and then suddenly he gestured for my husband to come to him. It was like someone pulling us towards him. I stood where I was with my kids and my husband went to him. I think he couldn't speak as he was just making noises from his throat trying to speak and looked quite handicapped on one side but he had a beautiful smile on his face and he was asking for my husband to give him something. My husband just put his hand in his pocket and pulled out whatever money was in his pocket and gave it to him. That person also didn't look at the money but just kept it with him and blessed my husband many times. He was not a beggar, that was for sure as he didn't ask anybody else for a single thing. He was busy reading. Why did he call us only was a real mystery and I could just see Baba taking Dakshina from my husband to cure my problems. 

After we came back there was a massive, massive fight and the police etc. was called. I'm sure this was Baba's way of curing him as this scared the hell out of him also. Baba showed it to him that if he got worse he would be alone in this world. After that he agreed to visit a psychiatrist also with me. He is on medication for about 3 yrs now but believe me my life has changed. If Baba had not been there for me when I needed him I would have surely killed myself and my children. I pray to my Baba day and night to let this peace last forever and give financial stability to my husband so that he starts looking positively at life. His business has become not very, but quite stable now and the everyday tension is not there whether we have money or not. 

I had told Baba if he helps me I'll share this with all devotee friends through this forum so that all of us learn not to let our faith in Baba shake in times of crisis. May Baba always help all his children in this way and that with every breath that we take we forever think of Him only. And the best news is that by Baba's blessings we will be visiting Shirdi again this March. I pray to Baba to let this peace remain in my life forever as money, I think, is always secondary.
