for the Week : Shri Sai faith and reason |
Many people, of late, are found asking a question i.e. Why and how is the number of devotees of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi multiplying all over. Even at the time of Baba only a few thousand people used to visit Shirdi. Today the number of people visiting Shirdi on a daily average basis is about 35000. The number of temples of Shri Sainath not only in India but abroad is growing in unbelievable numbers. The magnitude of other Sai related activities like opening of different Sai Mandalis, publication of reading material (Books, Magazine etc.), the number of web-sites on Baba and other philanthropic/religious activities is mind-boggling. His photographs can be found in Pooja Rooms of millions of devotees and in shops, office rooms, vehicles, etc. in all parts of India. As if a miracle has happened during the last decade or it looks like the invasion of a spiritual power on this earth, mighty and sovereign.
A Master or an Incarnation takes human embodiment as an agent of God to establish a path in a decadent human society. He tries to destroy the destabilizing factors and also to re-establish new norms of moral and social conduct. Old order changeth giving rise to new - this is the main work of the Masters one can say.
The world and for us India in particular, is presently going through a phase of transition both in the realm of materialism and spiritualism. The human society is no doubt is undergoing a process of spiritual dialect. Knowledge of science and technology is empowering the human race to discover hither-to hidden and subtle laws of nature which a few centuries back would have been taken as miracles or as actions of divinity. For example Space Voyage, Cloning, transplantation of various parts of human body, communication system etc. has enabled the modern man almost to play the role of God of earlier times. All these are based on sound reasoning and intellect but then what about faith in God? Human beings as individuals at all points of history have prayed God in times of crises, but what about a situation where faith in God and reasoning of man can co-exist together in a perfect state of symbiosis and accepted as a normal way of existence. Cannot Monism be re-interpreted as a theory of unison of reason with faith rather than philosophizing as to whether God is a single entity or a multiple entity?

:
Shri Sai does not make things difficult for anyone. We at times, suffer the result of our past actions. Please pray to Him sincerely. He only helps, faith without patience is not consistent.

Dear Baba Devotees,
OM SAI RAM.
These three words have lot of strength and I am firm believer that anybody who remembers Baba from his heart will find him next to him within no time. I have been Baba's follower since 1995. I have many experiences which I would have loved to share with all of you but one of them is very inspiring.
My sister was getting married on Feb 28th,2002 and all the family members were busy in purchasing new jewellery , clothes, etc. We had just returned home after my sisters engagement and were just waiting for the big day which was just two -three days away. Suddenly my father walks over to me and says that he cannot trace my sisters wedding
jewellery packet which was there in his pocket and he can't find it. We start looking for it at all the places in the house but all in vain. I saw tears in the eyes of my father as it was substantial amount of jewellery and it was a big loss before the marriage. In Hindu dharma loss of jewellery before any
auspicious occasions is considered a very bad omen. We all were worried and sat down and started thinking about our days activities and suddenly my father gets up and says he will go the market where he did his shopping
in the daytime. It was 11:30 pm at that time. I also got dressed up and went along with him to that shopping place but due to darkness we could not see anything but still we tried to
search here and there and tried to find the packet or pouch. We
searched for an half and hour and then came back home with lot of pressure on our heads.
My father sits down with his head down and we go to sleep after sometime but he kept sitting. I started praying to Sai Baba on my bed to help us find the packet and said that Baba if you really exist then show us some miracle and help us. I had never done this before. After about ten minutes my father screams and say "Mil gaya" FOUND......Baba had shown his miracle and saved us from a very heavy loss. The packet has fallen behind the almirah due to so much of stuff in the house and we would never have found it
until Baba would have helped us. Om Sai Ram. We went to Delhi's Sai Baba Mandir and thanked Sai Baba for being there whenever we needed him.
Baba is everywhere just feel him and keep on saying Om Sai Ram to whom so ever you meet. OM SAI RAM
I even say OM SAI RAM to fellow friends at office in Vancouver, Canada. Due to Baba's blessings we have been blessed a sweet girl Soumya when everybody was saying that my wife will not be able to deliver and we would have to abort. She had a normal delivery in Canada and she
traveled from India to Canada when she was in her seven month as my visa was expiring. So Baba is great . Trust him and he will show you the right path.
